RIVERDALE MENTAL HEALTH ASSOCIATION

was started in 1959 by community leaders.  Today it is a comprehensive mental health agency serving the Northwest Bronx and surrounding areas including Community Boards 5, 6, 7 and 8.

The agency provides a full range of treatment services for all ages and all problems which can be treated on an out patient basis.

In addition the agency's substance abuse program accepts referrals from the entire metropolitan area and offers services to persons who seek help to become free of drug and/or alcohol abuse and for their families.

The Supported Employment program serves the Bronx, Manhattan and Westchester

The supervised residence and apartment program serve the entire Bronx.
